Stevie Wonder

Stevie WonderStevland Hardaway Morris (ne Judkins; May 13 1950) is known as Stevie Wonder, is an American singer-songwriter. He is recognized as an influencer and pioneer by musicians from a variety of genres such as blues and rhythm, pop soul, gospel jazz, and funk. The synthesizers used by Wonder in the 1970s, and other electronic musical instruments led to the creation of R&B the ultimate one-man show. Wonder helped bring these genres into the age of albums by creating LPs that were both coherent and consistent. Blind shortly after the birth of his son, Wonder was a child prodigy who signed on with Motown's Tamla label at the age of 11, at which point he was given the professional name Little Stevie Wonder. Wonder's critical success was at its highest in the 1970s. The singer's "classic period" began in 1972 when he released the albums of Music of My Mind and Talking Book, the latter featuring "Superstition" and is among the most distinctive and well-known examples of the sound of the Hohner Clavinet keyboard. The Grammy Award for Album of the Years was won by Innervisions (1973), Fulfillingness's First Finale (1974), as well as Songs in the Key of Life (1976). He is tied for third place with the highest number of Album of the YEAR wins. He is the only artist to win the award for Album of the Year for three consecutive albums. Wonder was an "commercial artist" at the time he began to have his greatest hits in the late 1980s. His popularity grew with increasing album sales, charity involvement, and prominent collaborations.
